2023: “APC ‘very deceitful’; have abandoned restructuring” – Atiku

Says he’ll restructure Nigeria

The Presidential candidate on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has restated his commitment to devolution of power and restructuring of Nigeria, if elected president of Nigeria.

He accused the ruling Party of refusing to fulfill its promise of restructuring the country.

According to him, Igbos in the South-East region had been clamouring for restructuring to enable them to have more powers to deal with their local affairs and assured the people that restructuring would be a major policy of his administration if elected as Nigeria’s president.

He alleged that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) had failed in its promise to restructure the country and urged Igbos in Ebonyi to reject the party in the February 25 presidential and parliamentary elections.

The former vice-president was received by a crowd at the Pa Oruta Ngele Township stadium in Abakaliki, and thanked the people for their support for the PDP since its inception in 1999.

The APC Presidential candidate will face-off against Atiku Abubakar, a former ally, in the February 25 presidential poll.
