2023: “Be ready for revolution if Peter Obi doesn’t win” – Lawyer

Controversial Lagos-based lawyer and human rights activist, Dele Farotimi, has explained that there might be a revolution if the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, does not win the election to become the next president of Nigeria.

Farotimi made this disclosure on Friday, via his official Twitter page while responding to a tweet expressing that Obi’s candidacy currently rests on the slender wings of hope.

He wrote: “Nigeria has NEVER been glorious; it has existed on a foundation of lies, and has been held together by illusions. What Buhari has done is to destroy the illusions, and to expose the lies. Obi’s candidacy rests on the slender wings of hope, and if dashed, a revolution awaits.. “#EndSARS was a protest, not a revolution. But that protest was gradually morphing into a revolution; and the Nigerian State REACTED, true to type, with #LekkiMassacre. A revolution is loading within the Obidient movement, and the ruiners of Nigeria shall be well advised to beware.

Meanwhile, a Constitutional lawyer, Kayode Ajulo, has submitted that Peter Obi needs more than just social media clout and endorsement to win the 2023 presidential election.

The former LP National Secretary, who offered his opinion yesterday in a statement on political issues in Nigeria, said though social media polls were good for a show of popularity, such votes are rather imaginary.
