2023: “Enough of hunger, insecurity, unemployment, high taxation” – Atiku laments

Former vice-president and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has lamented the rate of hunger, insecurity and high taxation imposed on the country by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), promising that his mission is to rescue the country from these intractable problems.

Atiku, who spoke during the Party’s presidential campaign rally in Maiduguri, Borno State, said, “Enough of hunger, enough of insecurity, enough of unemployment, enough of suffering, enough of too much taxation”.

The Wazirin Adamawa promised that when elected, “we will make sure you are exempted from exorbitant taxation”.

Atiku also promised that his government will restore peace and orderliness in Borno State and throughout the country, promising that a vote for PDP at the 2023 election signified a determination to end Nigeria’s intractable problems of insecurity and underdevelopment.

The PDP presidential candidate told the mammoth crowd that they are looking forward to the day they will vote for PDP.

His running mate, Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, on his part, noted that the problem of Nigeria is too much and that the only person that can handle it and make sure that the children are happy again is Atiku Abubakar.

Meanwhile, the party, in an issued statement by its spokesman, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, has affirmed that Atiku/Okowa will record a sweeping victory in Borno and other States of the federation in the 2023 general elections.

The PDP further asserted that it will be a hard task for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, to secure the statutory 25% votes in most States of the country, and particularly in Borno State, despite being the home State of the APC vice-presidential candidate, Sen. Kashim Shettima.
