2023: G-5 Governors to flag-off PDP campaigns in Rivers

The G-5 governors in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) are set to unveil the party’s campaign in Rivers State.

Speaking during a press conference in Port Harcourt, Rivers, the Director General of PDP Campaign Council, Felix Obuah, who disclosed this, assured that upcoming campaigns will be issue-based.

Obuah, who is a former PDP Chairman in the State, said it was imperative to provide the public with a clear insight as the party prepares for the official take-off of its campaign.

According to him, the high point of the rally, which is billed to take place at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium tomorrow, Saturday, would be the unveiling of the PDP’s gubernatorial flagbearer, Siminalayi Fubara. “The unveiling ceremony will be performed by the G5 Governors who are at the centre of a fight designed to promote inclusiveness”, he stated.

“While in Port Harcourt, the State Governor who is the Chief Host will treat our friends, elders and leaders to a State Banquet. The banquet will be held on Friday.

“Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom; Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, of Enugu State; Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde; Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, and the host Governor and leader of the G5, Governor Nyesom Wike, will grace the occasion.
