Kaduna: Governor orders probe into mosque killing

The Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, on Sunday, directed the Police to investigate the bandits’ attack on Saya-Saya village in Ikara local government area of the State, which led to the killing of seven worshippers in a mosque. Kaduna: 7 worshippers killed, as bandits invade mosque

No fewer than seven people have been reportedly killed as gunmen suspected bandits attacked worshippers in a mosque at Saya-Saya village, in Ikara local government area of Kaduna State. According to local sources, the incident happened around 8 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2023, when the villagers were performing isha’i (sunset) prayers at a mosque. Five of the victims were gunned down in the mosque, while the remaining two other victims were killed at different locations within the area. N1.1tr Anchor Borrowers’ loan default: Tinubu orders security agencies to recover cash before Sept 18

The Presidency has given marching orders to relevant security agencies in the country to recover loans from the Federal Government Anchor Borrowers N1.1 trillion programme, amounting to over N500 billion. The security agencies, it was gathered, have up till September 18, 2023, to recover all the monies said to be owed by mostly bankers, farmers, individuals, State governments and other financial institutions among others. Zamfara: Federal University expels students for protesting worsening insecurity

The Federal University Gusau, Zamfara State, has expelled four students and reportedly restricted others from accessing its registration portal for protesting against insecurity two months ago. It was gathered that 34 students were invited to face a disciplinary committee before they left for semester holiday for partaking in the protest. Three of the students who were questioned said they had been handed letters of expulsion, while others are waiting to receive their expulsion letters from the school’s management.
