88 days after, kidnapped Tegina Islamiyyah Pupils finally released

Over 70 pupils of Salihu Tanko Islamiyyah school in Tegina town, Niger State, who were kidnapped by armed bandits have been released by their abductors.

Recall that the pupils were abducted from their school premises in June.

According to reports, the students are on their way to Minna en route Kagara, from Birnin-Gwari, in Kaduna State.

The Islamiyyah pupils were held for 88 days and 11 hours according to the timeline of the days and time they have spent in the bandits’ captivity.

However, there has been no official confirmation of their release by the authorities at the time of filing this report.
