Again, terrorists abduct 30 commuters on Abuja-Kaduna highway

Terrorists, yesterday, shot many commuters and kidnapped over 30 passengers on the Abuja-Kaduna highway in the Katari area of Kaduna, Kaduna State.

According to a video posted on social media, the attack, which took place around 4:30 p.m., revealed many vehicles affected.

An eyewitness, Muhammad Ibrahim, said an 18-seater bus belonging to Zamfara State Transport Authority, one Peugeot 406, two Toyota Corolla, a Golf, and several other vehicles were attacked by the terrorists.

Many commuters with gunshot wounds, including children, were seen by the side of the road while many cars remained parked. Their attackers appeared to have abandoned those they had injured.

Some passengers along the route said security forces arrived after the kidnappers had left but there was no evidence that the terrorists have been apprehended or that any persons were rescued.

Recall that in March, an Abuja-Kaduna-bound train was attacked by terrorists who blasted the rail line, killed some passengers and abducted many who still remain in captivity at the time this report was filed.
