Breaking: Oyo Police reveal those behind burning of Sunday Igboho’s house

Oyo State Police Command has disclosed that unidentified hoodlums are responsible for the burning of Sunday Adeyemo, also known as
Sunday Igboho’s house at SOKA area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The Police noted that the hoodlums came to the house in the early hours of today, Tuesday, in a Hummer bus and Micra car, firing sporadically, and later set the house ablaze.

According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relation Officer, (PPRO) of the Command, Gbenga Fadeyi said that the mini-sitting room of the house got burnt in the process, while the amount of other properties burnt is yet to be estimated.

Fadeyi however said that the fire was eventually put out and investigation has commenced into the incident while the Police is on the trail of the hoodlums.

Recall that, several houses belonging to the Seriki Fulani of Oyo State, Alhaji Saliu AbdulKadir, were allegedly set on fire by aggrieved youths in Igangan community of Ibarapa area of Oyo State, on Friday night after the visit of Sunday Adeyemo (aka Sunday Igboho) to enforce his seven-day quit notice to the Fulani herdsmen in the area.
