Buhari confers National Honours on HRH Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli, Bashir Jamoh, Mala Buni, 445 other Nigerians

President Muhammadu Buhari has conferred national honours on HRH Emir of Zazzau, Nuhu Bamalli, NIMASA Director-General, Bashir Jamoh, and many other prominent Nigerians.

At the investiture ceremony, which was held at International Conference Centre in Abuja, the recipients were awarded with the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON), Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR) and Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON).

In attendance were Senate President  Ahmed Lawan; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Olukayode Ariwoola; the President’s Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, Service Chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police, and several ministers including the Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, George Akume.

Others were traditional rulers, including the Emir of Lafia, Sidi Mohammad, who is the Chairman of the 2022 National Honours Awards Committee, Secretary of the Awards Investiture and members of the diplomatic corps.

The former Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, received a posthumous CFR award, which was presented to his daughter.

The event was graced by the Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo and the President’s Chief of Staff, Ibrahim Gambari.
