Buhari, Osinbajo, Jonathan, Atiku, Niger Republic President, governors attend Buhari son’s wedding in Kano

The ancient town of Bichi, Kano State, on Friday went agog as the son of President Muhammadu Buhari, Yusuf, married the daughter of the Emir of Bichi, Zahra Nasiru Ado-Bayero, as many dignitaries witnessed the ceremony in Bichi local government area of Kano State.


Niger Republic President, Muhammad Bazoum joined eminent Nigerian political and business leaders at the wedding ceremony.

Also present at the event were Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo, former vice president Atiku Abubakar, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, many State governors, ministers and federal lawmakers.

The wedding held at the palace of the Emir of Bichi who is the father of the bride, was presided over by the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami.

The wedding Fatiha, was conducted at the Emir’s Palace with the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ali Pantami, presiding after payment of N500,000 as dowry.

Alh. Aminu Dantata stood as representative of the bride, while Alhaji Mamman Daura stood for the bridegroom during the wedding.

Pantami announced the payment of N500,000 as the bride’s price, after which the trustees of the groom and bride announced their consents to the union.

Dignitaries that attended the wedding included Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former President Goodluck Jonathan, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Senate President, Mohammed Lawan; former Senate President, Bukola Saraki; Chief of Staff to President Buhari, Professor Ibrahim Gambari and several state governors.

Others were ministers, members of the National and state assemblies, emirs, diplomats, politicians, well-wishers, among others.

The President arrived and departed Bichi town in a chopper, via Kano.
