President Muhammadu Buhari has urged the new Emir of Bichi in Kano State, to exhibit good leadership qualities of the Late Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero, in promoting peace and stability in Nigeria.
The President made the call in his congratulatory message to the Emir, on his coronation, on Saturday in Bichi, Kano State.
Recall that the new Emir, Alhaji Nasiru Ado-Bayero, received his Staff of Office, from the State governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
Buhari was represented by his Chief of Staff, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari.
Also speaking, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Saad Abubakar III, urged traditional rulers to continue to assist the government at all levels, to improve the living condition of Nigerians.
He commended the Kano State government for creating four additional emirates, which he said would assist in bringing more developments to the grassroots.
He also urged Nigerians to intensify efforts in praying for the country and its leaders
