Some bandits have reportedly invaded Madamai village, situated in Kagoro Chiefdom, Kaura local government area of Kaduna State, killing five persons.
According to the State’s Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, who confirmed the attack, said in a statement yesterday, said the bandits also razed nine houses to the ground, while one vehicle was completely vandalised.
The Commissioner listed the names of those killed by the hoodlums as Janet Yakubu, Gambo Yakubu, Jonathan Adamu, Mrs. Monday as well as Humphrey Barnabas.
He said the Acting Governor of the State, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe has condemned the attack and appealed for calm.
“The Acting Governor also appealed to residents to remain calm and directed security agencies to conduct thorough investigations into the incident. Security personnel are conducting patrols and investigations in the area”.
