Four killed, 25 kidnapped in another bandits’ attack in Kagara

…As GSC schoolboys were released after 9 days in captivity

Bandits have once again attacked Kagara district, in Niger State, killing four people and abducting twenty-five others.

This is coming even as the community in Niger State were jubilating over the return of the abductees of the Government Science College, Kagara, in the State.

According to a source, the attacks were in Madaka, Karaku, Sambuga and Yakila, which are all villages within Kagara district. It was learnt that the bandits abducted seven women including two nursing mothers in Gidan Wamban-Karaku, while in Madaka, they kidnapped the Imam of Rubo village. Sources in Karuku said four people were killed and that an unspecified number of cows were rustled during the attack.

There has been no official comments from the authorities as at the time of filing this report.

Meanwhile, armed bandits have released the twenty-seven schoolboys and fourteen others that were abducted from Government Science Secondary School, Kagara. The children were released from a location close to where the fifty-three travellers that were abducted a week ago were released.
