The Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria, (YOWICAN), has urged Nigerians to defend themselves following the rising cases of insecurity in the country.
The YOWICAN National Chairman, Ambassador Belusochukwu Enwere, yesterday in Abuja, said that the crisis in Plateau State and some other parts of the country is enough to convince Nigerians that the nation’s security agencies are not on top of the situation.
According to him, the mass killing of Christians and Plateau State citizens, especially last Wednesday by bandits in Jos-North LGA, was condemnable.
He, thus sympathised with families, government and people of Plateau State on the barbaric and dastardly killings that took place in different communities and LGAs, and also commiserated with the families of all those who lost their loved ones during these attacks.
He, therefore, called on the President, National and State Assemblies, security agencies as well as the State governors to rise up and protect their people and stop playing politics with the lives of its citizens.
