Insecurity: Zamfara deploys 500 armed personnel, anti-aircraft battle gun against bandits

Zamfara State governor, Bello Muhammad Matawalle, has deployed hundreds of security personnel to be on the trail of the perpetrators of attacks on the innocent people of Malele village, in Dansadau, under Maru local government area of the State.

The governor, who condemned in totality the attacks which he believed were carried out by the enemies of the State, promised to teach them the language that they can understand.

As at the time of filing this report, it was gathered that Governor Matawalle was in the Government House Situation Room, in Gusau, the State capital, and was busy receiving progress calls from the Army Commanders saddled with the responsibility of rescuing some kidnapped victims alive and to deal vigorously with the people behind the nefarious acts.

Recall that recently, a Kaduna-born retired Army officer, Colonel Bitrus Musa said that some opposition leaders in Zamfara State are behind the pockets of insecurity in the State. He also advised that until somebody like the former Governor of the State, AbdulAziz Abubakar Yari, is called to order or be closely monitored by the Nigerian detective officers, the State may not witness any progress in the peace initiative that Governor Matawalle has embarked upon.
