Kaduna Train Attack: Terrorists release pregnant woman

Terrorists who bombed the Abuja-Kaduna-bound train and killed nine persons and kidnapped about 70 passengers in March have released one of the pregnant captives.

A video of the released pregnant victim, who was seen clad in a black abaya (Muslim attire) and a face mask, went viral on social media at the weekend.

According to reports, the woman was released by her abductors on compassionate grounds after spending 48 days in captivity with other victims.

The woman appealed to the Federal Government to negotiate with the terrorists, saying it was imperative because of the uncertainty surrounding the plight of others still under the terrorists’ den.

She said the terrorists took care of them, saying they were also fed very well. She also said the terrorists also took care of their medication.

Her release brings to three the abducted train passengers who have so far regained their freedom.

The first was Managing Director of Bank of Agriculture, Alwan Ali-Hassan, and son of northern elder statesman, Professor Ango Abdullahi, Sadiq.
