The All Progressives Congress, (APC), has lamented reported cases of killings, banditry, kidnapping and related vices across the 33 local government areas of Oyo State and called on the State governor, Seyi Makinde, to justify his collection of N1 billion monthly as security vote.
A chieftain of the party, Fatai Adesokan, made the allegation while featuring on a political programme on IBR 92.5FM at the weekend in Ibadan.
He expressed dismay that despite the huge monthly security vote, the situation still remains as it is now in Oyo State, adding that residents can no longer walk freely both day and night. Adesokan therefore, challenged the governor’s media aides to fault his claim, insisting that Governor Makinde is collecting so much monthly.
His words: ‘“I challenge either the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor or the Commissioner for Information to deny this”.
