Police arrest Kano father who allegedly locked son for seven years

The Police Command in Kano said it has arrested one Aminu Farawa who allegedly locked up his son, Ahmed Aminu in his car garage for (7) years without proper feeding and health care.

A statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Haruna Abdullahi said a team of operation Puff-Adder was raised and immediately swung into action.

The 30 year old victim was rescued and rushed to Murtala Muhammed Specialist Hospital Kano for treatment.

According to a preliminary investigation by the Police, the father confessed that he locked-up his son 3 years ago over his alleged abuse of drugs

The Police statement added further that Commissioner of Police, Habu Sani, has ordered the case be transferred to State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID) for discreet investigations.
