Suspected Boko Haram terrorists arrested in Kano – Army

Troops of the Nigerian Army on Saturday evening stormed a mosque suspected to be a
Boko Haram terrorists enclave and arrested no fewer than 10 suspects.

The army spokesman, Brig.-Gen. Mohammed Yerima, said troops of 3 Brigade, Kano arrested 13 suspected terrorists located at Filin Lazio, Hotoro, in Kano metropolis following a successful operation.

According to him, the mosque was said to belong to some men from Borno State who had fled the troubled North-East due to the Boko Haram insurgency. It was learnt that the troops took away some unidentified items from the surroundings of the mosque.

The report further said the operation was conducted in a very professional manner without drawing the ire of Muslims who were just breaking their fast at that time.

Yerima said that the ongoing operation was predicated on the need to apprehend criminals who might want to hibernate in any part of Kano State.
