Emirates Airlines has announced the suspension of its flight operations to Nigeria, starting September 1, 2022, over its $85 million revenue awaiting repatriation from Nigeria. This was announced in a statement by the airline on Thursday, the airline stated that the suspension is due to its inability to repatriate its earnings in foreign exchange from Nigeria. FG lifts ban on flights from India to Nigeria

The Federal Government has lifted the ban placed on flights coming into the country from India. This was disclosed by the Chairman, Presidential Steering Committee on Covid-19, Boss Mustapha, via a new travel protocol released yesterday, which indicated that the ban has been lifted.  However, the sanctions placed on airlines that convey passengers from restricted countries and travellers who are non-Nigerians remain.
