Coronavirus: CAF President, Ahmad, released from hospital

The President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Ahmad Ahmad, was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday. Ahmad, who tested positive to Covid-19 on October 30, went into isolation and observation at the AS Salam International Hospital in Cairo, Egypt, and doctors authorized him to leave Wednesday morning. Now not contagious anymore, and with minimal risk of complications, the CAF President returned to his home in Cairo. U.S. reports 131,000 COVID-19 infections, highest daily figure

The U.S. on Tuesday reported 131,000 new cases of COVID-19, the country’s highest single-day infection since the start of the pandemic. The U.S. COVID-19 Tracking Project said the country suffered an average of 120,000 new cases every day in the past week. The disease killed no fewer than 1,347 persons across the U.S. on Tuesday, the highest record since August 19, the project said. Coronavirus: FG orders full reopening of schools, NYSC Camps

The federal government has asked school administrators to start preparing for the full reopening of schools. Dr Sani Aliyu, National Coordinator of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 disclosed this during a press briefing at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, on Thursday.
