Kano govt. sponsors surgery of 7 patients with intersex problem

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje yesterday received six patients with intersex problems sponsored by the Kano State government to undergo surgery at the Tetfund Centre of Excellence in Urology and Nephrology, Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto. The patients, who were successfully treated, were received by the governor during the State’s Executive Council meeting yesterday in Kano. We spend N1m daily to treat each COVID-19 patient with severe illness – Lagos Health Commissioner

Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Akin Abayomi, said the government spends between N500,000 and N1 million daily to treat a COVID-19 patient in critical condition. Speaking at a press briefing on Thursday, Abayomi said the cost of managing a patient depends on factors such as being mild, moderate or severe.
