The Sultan of Sokoto and President-General, Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, (NSCIA), His Eminence, (Alh.) Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, has declared today, Tuesday, August 10, as the first day of Muharram 1443 AH. The declaration marks today as the commencement date for the Islamic New Year, 1443 AH.
