New minimum wage adjustments:Varsity workers threaten another strike action

The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) has threatened another strike across universities. NASU, SSANU agree to suspend nationwide strike

The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of non-teaching staff unions of universities, which comprises Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and Non-Academic Staff Union of the Universities (NASU), has announced the suspension of its nationwide strike. The Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, has said that it is illegal for university workers to embark on their planned strike. The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), Federal University of Lafia chapter, has joined the nationwide strike as directed by its national headquarters.
