“There is nothing Nigerians needs now more than prayer” – Hon. KERO

A key figure in the main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Kaduna chapter, and a candidate for the Kaduna-South constituency in the 2023 by-elections, Hon. Hussain Abdulkareem, popularly known as KERO, has urged Muslims and Christian faithful to use the New Year period and other festive rituals to pray day and night, especially in the face of insecurity and economic hardship, which is causing rising consumer prices for most Nigerians.

Hon. ‘Kero’ made the remarks while accepting an award from the “SM Gamji Foundation for Orphans and Vulnerable Children”, chaired by Hajiya Suhaima, in Kaduna.

In her remarks, Hajiya Suhaima M. Gamji said, “Though there are various politicians in Kaduna, we have chosen to honor Hon. Hussaini Abdulkareem ‘Kero’ for his efforts towards transforming the lives of the youths of Kaduna-South Local Government Area and the entire State.

“His tireless efforts, day and night, and without looking at where a person came from politically before he helps”.

“This attitude of helping the people without discriminating on the basis of religion or ethnicity is why we respect him and decided to give him this award, to inspire him and challenge other politicians to learn from KERO’s positive attitude”, Hajiya Suhaima further said.

On his part, Hon KERO expressed his gratitude and stated that SM Gamji Foundation, of which he is one of the founding fathers, was set up to support orphans and other disadvantaged people so that they too can get the education that will benefit themselves and the Northern region. He promised to contribute to the Foundation whenever the need arises.

Hon. Hussaini Abdulkareem Kero advised all politicians to put aside their ideological differences “and come together for our country Nigeria, because achieving peace is a matter for all of us and not just the Government.

“I pray, on behalf of all my loved ones, both known and unknown, that God brings lasting peace and prosperity to our country, Nigeria, that will alleviate the suffering of Nigerians. And I also pray to God that this year is better than last year, 2021. I pray that God gives us victory in this world and the next; thank you”, he stated.
