President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed the spokesman of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, as the special adviser on political matters in the office of the vice president, Kashim Shettima.
Baba-Ahmed is the elder brother of Datti Baba-Ahmed, vice-presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the February 25 election.
Hakeem Baba-Ahmed announced the development in a post yesterday on his official Twitter (formerly known as X) page.
According to him, now is not the time for fence-sitting or criticism, and urged Nigerians to pray for him and the country. “It is time to make it public that I have accepted the call to serve as Special Adviser (Political) to the VP, @KShettima”, he said.
