…Says Igbos don’t have numbers to produce next president in 2023
Founder and Overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly, now known as the Citadel Global Community Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare on Tuesday declared that President Muhammadu Buhari has disappointed Nigeria with his handling of the nation’s affairs.
This declaration was made by Pastor Bakare during a virtual interview by the Publisher, Dele Momodu.
The serving Overseer also stated that the expectations of Nigerians have not been met by the current administration.
According to the popular cleric, there is a general feeling of disappointment among Nigerians who expected change. He bemoaned the lack of leadership, especially with the rising cases of kidnappings and killings, causing non-state actors to take law into their hands.
Pastor Bakare also said the South-East does not have the numbers yet, to produce a Nigeria President of Igbo extraction.
He said the Igbos would need a ‘handshake’ between the North and South, because of the way the country is structured.
“The Igbos should come to mainstream politics; because, APGA as a party cannot win a presidential election in Nigeria.
“Yes, every citizen of this country can aspire to that position regardless of ethnic personality and I will be too glad to see an Igbo president”, he stated.
